I never know what to expect with each new LH book, and this is a great thing. It is like a friend telling you they are taking you somewhere wonderful and you just go along with the ride. This is how her books are to me, I go in with zero expectations about the storyline and am left with a fantastic book with the steamiest scenes (how does she do it?!!?) and a little in love with every character.

Another thing I absolutely adore about LH is how she is able to write gender fluid characters or come up with situations that will make you question what you thought about certain aspects of the sex and the sexy times. ;)

While this is a second in a series you can read it as a standalone, all though fans of Showmance will be happy to see lots of Rose and Damon in Fauxmance.

Fauxmance edition by LH Cosway Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews

I really enjoyed the character development in this and another book by the same author. It was fun and also showed great growth from “stuck in life’s rut” characters. I will be filling this author for future creations!
Love, love this author because she never disappoints. Her lovers always have a edginess that appeals, a sexiness that flows through each page and a love we all crave. Julian and Ellen are both so likeable it is hard to put the book down. Great reading!
I adored this story. It is complete as a standalone and stays true to LH Cosway's unconventional characters. I fell in love with these quirky characters.

If you're looking for an unconventional HEA give this a go.
Julian was the film American Gigolo and Julian is the British Gigolo in this romance that deals with faux personalities and faux romance. If this book was about sixty pages shorter, it would be more pleasing as I was ready for it to end about four chapters before it did. Julian is interesting and suave. Ellen is an introverted writer who hides from the world until Julian breaks her out of her shell.
I was dying to read how Julian's sorry would play out and it SEEMED so typical when you read the teaser at the end of book 2!

But it really wasn't. It was surprising ... like really was! I was SUCKED in.

Ellen is a girl to love. Her story. Her career and her family. It was all so darn good!!

Julian you sort of felt you knew ... but you really didn't. He is so much more and deeper ...

The end was so good ) and while not a shock it was still so lovely.

I really would love if the author added onto this series. Alicia or Nick or Cameron! All of them!!
Cosway seems to do unusual characters well and this book is no exception. We met Julian in the previous book of this series, Showmance. He works as a male escort and has plenty of his own demons.

Ellen is an author and suffers from extreme social anxiety. These two meet in a rather unconventional way and while their compatibility at first blush seems unlikely, it isn’t long until we see how good they are together.

Even though both are dealing with some weighty issues, this book didn’t bog down in too much angst. There is a good blend between emotional, light-hearted, and romantic moments. It’s definitely a satisfying story and in some ways, an unexpected one. Four stars.
Every Tuesday at 1030 am, Ellen Grant became someone else. She drank coffee and told tales of the life she always wanted. And she did it dressed as Elodie.

Elodie had amazing adventures and fell in love with beautiful men. That’s something that would never happen to a reclusive book nerd like her in real life. Or perhaps it could.

Julian Fairchild was instantly fascinated by the vivacious woman in the Polka Dot Café. There was something about her that called to him. That’s why every Tuesday he would grab a coffee, take a seat and secretly try to catch a glimpse inside her seemingly exciting life.

But the more he gets to know who she really is underneath the beautiful façade of Elodie, he finds himself more attracted to the shy and unsure girl who created her.

When Ellen hires him to teach her about love, he could have never guessed that it would be him learning a lesson of a lifetime.

Fauxmance is vastly different than I thought it would be. It’s still the same fabulously complicated characters and sweetly scorching heat that I’ve come to expect from L.H Cosway. But this was tinged with just enough melancholy to make my ache in the very best of ways.

She masterfully crafts Julian and Ellen to be unexpected halves of the same whole. Each strong and yet vulnerable – afraid of the truth yet yearning for it. Their story unfolds like a gift that I wanted to both tear into and savour all at the same time.

It’s a slow burn with an atomic heart. And I simply adored the flames…
